DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Philips in late fifties in excellent working condition. Strikingly beautiful and very audio looking. This design looks great from every angle. 

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original molded turquoise colored plastic with white (ivory) front and gold trim. All original factory molded colors. Not repainted no touch up no over spray. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. The front aluminum printed line graphics is rubbed off on areas. The metal wire stand is original, securely attached, some oxidation. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. 

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. Twin speaker system.

DIAL LIGHT: Dial light lights up brightly.

KNOBS: Factory original volume and tuniung knobs are in excellent condition. The tuning dial works fine no slipping or sticky spots.

POWER CORD: Original power cable is securely attached no breaks, splits, or exposed wiring.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

BACKING BOARD: No backing board. Not designed with one. Turquoise blue back cover is in excellent condition.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels. These bottom labels are often missing on this model series.

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets. Was probably used in or near the kitchen for much of its life.
