Returns, Damages, or Lost

30 DAY RETURN OR REPLACEMENT:

We offer a 30 day return or repair policy for radios that have stopped working within 30 days of purchase.

All radios undergo a comprehensive repair and restoration process that we have perfected over years of experience and thousands of radios. However, these are inherently used radios that are in many cases over 50 years old. Your radio may be working initially, but it’s difficult to say with any degree of certainty how long it will continue to work.

If, for whatever reason, your radio stops working within 30 days of purchase, you may send the radio back for repair. We will repair at no additional cost to you. We will pay shipping back to you. We will reimburse your return shipping up to $29.95 including insurance. You must first contact us at retroradiofarm@gmail.com before you ship your radio back for repair. Please allow 3-4 weeks for completion of repair depending on parts availability.

We offer an extended warranty for up 2 years: https://www.retroradiofarm.com/collections/services/products/2-year-extended-warranty

Our return policy does not cover damages or defects because of misuse, neglect, or mishandling.

DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED ITEMS IMMEDIATELY UPON DELIVERY:

If your radio is delivered damaged or defective, please notify us immediately by email: retroradiofarm@gmail.com. Do not attempt repair the radio yourself. If you attempt to perform repairs, you may forfeit some or all of your refund.

All radios sold by Retro Radio Farm are shipped to you fully insured against damages caused by the carrier. In order for us to process a claim, you must provide 4-5 photos of the radio front, back, sides, bottom, damaged areas as well as 2-3 photos of the shipping carton and packing materials.

We will process the claim for you. Our insurer may require a buyer affidavit which we will send to you. This affidavit is your attestation on the damages. If you do not provide this affidavit, Retro Radio Farm cannot process the insurance claim and you will not receive your refund. Please do not send the radio back to us until you are instructed to do so. Sending the damaged radio back to us immediately without first notifying us, and providing photos and affidavit, will delay your refund.

After photos and affidavit are submitted, the claim may take 2-3 weeks to process. Upon claims approval, you will be issued a refund for total amounts paid including shipping and handling. Please retain radio and all original carton, and packing materials, until your claim is fully processed. Depending on the extent of damage, damaged radio may be yours to keep or dispose of as you wish, shipped back to Retro Radio Farm for refund or repair, or sent to insurance provider for inspection. It is difficult to predict which outcome may result depending on the extent and type of damage.

Photo (if shipped to you by UPS):

Here are is a list of the types of photos UPS requires for damage inspections:

  • A photo of the packaging material used inside box (e.g. bubble wrap, Styrofoam peanuts, cardboard dividers, etc.)
  • A close-up photo of the shipping label with tracking number (please zoom in enough to read the tracking number which usually begins with 1Z)
  • A close-up photo of the box manufacturer’s certificate (BMC), if available. The BMC is a round stamp that details either the bursting strength of the box or the edge crush rating of the box. The BMC is generally found on a bottom flap on the outside of a corrugated cardboard box.
  • Two photos displaying all 6 sides of the package (1 photo should display the top and 2 sides, the 2nd photo should display the bottom and the opposite sides).
  • Dimensions of the box including the package height, length, and width provided in the body of the email.

More details can be found here: UPS | Photo Documentation Requirements. With damage inspections using photos it is really important to provide the best evidence possible, as UPS will deny claims without sufficient evidence. Submitting photos that match the above list to the best of your ability will help ensure this claim is accepted by UPS.

Any additional shipping to insurer for further inspection will be paid for by the insurer, in most cases. Any additional shipping back to Retro Radio Farm for additional repairs will be paid for by Retro Radio Farm up to $29.95.
