Turquoise 1959 Admiral Model Y865C Vacuum Tube AM Radio Sounds Great! Looks Great!

DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured Admiral in 1959 time frame excellent+ physical and working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Usually this model series develops heat cracks on top due to confined space and lack of heat vents. A heat shield has been installed to prevent possible heat cracks in the future. Something Admiral engineers should have done originally. All original factory molded colors. Not repainted no over spray no touch up. None needed. Very rare color combo. Was originally all turquoise but front has yellowed evenly to a green color. The result is a beautiful turquoise and green color combo! This radio is almost 70 years old!  Original little clock knob is still present and securely attached. The clock bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing no cracks or chips. No stress fractures, yellowing, or major scratches. No rub off rub-off in clock number lettering. Admiral paint from raised logo is slightly rubbed off. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. This radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. The clock motor is quiet on this one. The alarm doesn't seem to work. The clock and alarm set function work. No dial light not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge. The original power cable is in excellent working condition. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Bottom factory labels are missing. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
