DESCRIPTION: If I didn't have my glasses on, I would probably cut into this radio thinking it was a lemon cake! This is an AM/FM vintage radio from 1955 in near mint condition. It is super rare to find an early AM/FM only radio in such a nice color combo but also good enough as a daily listener. Original yellow not  yellowish ivory are yellowed ivory but real molded yellows are some of the rarest colors for radios from this period. Manufactured by little known Granco Company in excellent+ working and physical condition. This antique radio sounds great on both AM and FM and in this condition. All original factory molded yellow and white bakelite. Most AM FM radios are from sixties with plastic woodgrain and brushed aluminum. This vintage radio find picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. Sounds clear and loud across the dial with FM antenna attached. It kinda blasts! Cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, splits, or missing bakelite. The white grill is original molded plastic. This radio is over 60 years old! The original knobs are in excellent condition and securely attached. The dial face is in excellent condition with a no ruboff and fading color on dial numbering. Please see the photo close-up. The tuning dial indicator usually goes missing on this design. But, not the radio! It is original and still securely attached.  The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The AM FM switch indicator knob is not missing either, which happens a lot with this design. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
