The Future is Here! - 1959 Philco Predicta Model H765-124 Tube AM Clock Radio Awesome~

DESCRIPTION: I Predicta You Will Like-a! This Predicta is one of the most iconic designs of the late fifties. It embodies the futuristic ambitions of the early space age. It is becoming extremely sought after by collectors and vintage enthusiasts. This Predicta will not be attainable for long! Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Philco in 1959 time frame in excellent+ working condition. Late fifties design in rare molded white color clock and black bottom. The most desirable color option in my opinion. No repaints. No touch ups. None needed. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition. The bottom section is mirror glossy condition with no repairs no repaints. None needed. There is the usual small chip on the front edge of the top clock push button section. No other cracks, chips, or major scratches on the top clock section. Hurray! The clock back covers are often cracked. Not on this one. The metal tuning and volume section plate is in excellent condition with no scratches, dents, or oxidation. This radio is over 60 years old! The buttons on top are all there and securely attached. These buttons often go missing because they pop off. The buttons don't always return back to equal level state with the other buttons after selecting different functions. The clock gold metal trim surround is in very good condition with no pitting no rust slight fading and securely attached. The clock dial cover is clear with no cracks, chips or major scratches. Clock face black back has a few oxidation curly-Q stains. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The volume knob works fine. Both volume and tuning knobs rotate on a level plateau which is not often the case with these Predictas. They turn like flying saucers because of warping over time! All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! All the buttons on top work but the radio takes a longer time to turn off which is common among these Predictas. The clock works and keep accurate time. The clock movement is quiet as factory designed as it was the day it was new No humming no buzzing no ticking noises. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. The clock set screw in back is not missing the little knurled thumb wheel which is common. The tubes are working fine. The dial light works. No clock light not designed with one. But one can be added for an extra charge. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Bottom backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.

COLOR: white top black bottom. The most desirable color combo.
