Strawberry Alarm Clock 1959 Westinghouse Model H540T4A Vintage Vacuum Tube AM Clock Radio Incense and Peppermints!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Westinghouse in 1959 time frame excellent+ cosmetic and working condition. Cabinet is in excellent condition. Original factory molded coral pink color faded evenly to a strawberry swirly color. No chips, cracks, or major scratches. No repairs, overspray, or repaints to the cabinet. None needed. Most coral H540T4A's yellow to a peach-ish color. This one looks like faded strawberry. It has slight swirlys from the molding process of lighter and darker pink-ish hues. Looks like a strawberry sundae pink. This radio is over 55 years old! Little clock knobs are present securely attached. The clock bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing. No stress fractures, yellowing, or major scratches. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. Some rub off of Westinghouse paint from raised logo. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping but it is not aligned with the top center marking about 30 degrees. Tuning to 550 KHz is 600KHz under the pointer and 1600KHz is beyond the end of the dial. Tuning dial not missing center metal cap. The clock works and keep accurate time. The clock motor is quiet on this one. The alarm does not work. The clock and alarm set function work. The replacement cable is in excellent working condition. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. and printing is legible. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
