Sherwood Green and Gold 1957 Bulova Model 100 AM Antique Clock Radio Simply Fabulous!
DESCRIPTION: This antique Bulova clock radio has a fine jewelry look to it. High quality manufacturing is apparent inside and out. Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Bulova in 1957 timeframe in excellent+ working condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is in excellent plus condition. No cracks, chips or major scratches. All original molded colors through and through. Not repainted, no touch up, not over sprayed. Front gold metal grill is original with no dents, warping, or dings. No oxidation or rust.
KNOBS: The factory original green matching volume and tuning knobs are in excellent condition. No missing little clock or alarm set knobs. These little clock knobs often go missing over the years so it's nice to find one with all original knobs. One of them is more gold than the others. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping.
CLOCK: The clock works and keep accurate time. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. The clock face is clean with no tarnishing or greening. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. Clock motor has motor whirring sound. Not totally silent.
LOGOS: The "Bulova" logo is in excellent condition. No chipped letters. Sometimes these Bulovas withe script logo has chipped letters.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! There is a working appliance timer function in back. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
BACKING BOARD: Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners.
POWER CABLE: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
