DESCRIPTION: If you can't get enough seafoam green in a retro looking design, you've come to the right place. Beautiful and rare! Try and find another! Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Philips in late fifties in excellent working condition. Strikingly beautiful and very audio looking. This design looks great from every angle, in my opinion. I'm surprised I don't see variations of this aesthetic echoed in other manufacturers' models. A superlative design statement! The quintessential color contrast and metal wire stand is all playbook fifties. Plus, this is a twin speaker system so it's not harsh on the ears either! I can't look away! Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. Cabinet is original molded seafoam green colored plastic with white (ivory) front and gold trim. No cracks anywhere. Awesome color scheme. No chips, deep abrasions or missing material. No repairs or repaints. Very cool and usable everyday. This radio is over 50 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. Original power cable is securely attached no breaks, splits, or exposed wiring. Clock works and keeps accurate time. The clock motor not dead silent. We've been spoiled by digital. These old clock run on a motor and some are noisier than others. Alarm works. Clock and alarm set work, but the little knob in back is missing. Sleep function works. No missing little clock and sleep knobs in front. The little clock and sleep knobs in front are original and securely attached. Bonus. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets.
