DESCRIPTION: This little street fighter is a bare knuckled rock n roller! Design is no bones about it approach that befits early days of rock and roll. Unapologetic V crest with tweed cloth grill and sedated brown has appeal of a 32 T-bucket rat rod in its understated-ness. All wires, tubes and guts exposed for the world to see like a true hot rod! Yeah daddy-o! Missing Silvertone logo. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Silvertone in 1954 excellent working condition. Little rocker gets loud with external antenna clipped to a window or door frame. Cabinet is original molded brown color. The front fabric grill is in excellent condition. Knobs are original and securely attached. This radio is over 60 years old! The tuning dial works fine. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. No backing board. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. When this radio was new, tailfins were all the rage!
