DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Firestone Tire & Rubber Co in 1956 in excellent plus condition. No chips or major scratches anywhere on cabinet. There is a small hairline crack on the lower left hand corner. All knobs are original and securely attached. Original factory glossiness and sheen. This radio is over 60 years old! Dial light lights brightly. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. Push buttons work perfectly. Do not pop off. No cracked buttons. The tuning dial works fine. The power cable is securely attached. No electronics have been replaced on this radio. See workshop article for details. Buyer has option to request normal electronics replacements and repairs for no additional charge or keep in as-original working condition. The clock works and keep accurate time for a mechanical analog design. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. The sleep function works. The alarm switch has 'holiday' setting. The clock motor is quiet on this one. There is a appliance timer function in back. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. This thing belongs in a museum!
