DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Zenith in 1963 in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is in excellent condition with no chips, major scratches, or missing material. There is a repaired hairline crack on the bottom and on the top left corner. Factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No touch up no over spray. The cabinet front grill piece is originally molded factory white color plastic not painted. Not repainted no touch up no over spray anywhere. None needed.
FACTORY LABELS: No missing factory labels
LOGOS: Zenith crest logo is not missing.
KNOBS: The volume and tuning knobs are original, matching, in excellent condition, no cracks, and securely attached. No missing clock function knobs.. The tuning dial knob works fine and smooth no slipping.
CLOCK: The aluminum clock face is in excellent condition. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. No water stains. No cracks, warping, major scratches on the clear clock cover. The clock works and keep accurate time no humming no buzzing no ticking or grinding noises. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. Sleep timer works.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CABLE: The factory original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
PROVENANCE: Was gently used, lovingly displayed, or stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or thick carpet.
