Peggy Pink 1956 RCA Victor Model 8-X-6F AM Vacuum Tube Radio Rare Color and Great Player!
DESCRIPTION: Very rare to find this RCA model in this color. Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1956.
SOUND QUALITY: Radio is in excellent working condition.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is all original factory molded pink color. Not repainted no touch up no over spray. The front grill is in excellent condition. Small thin hairline crack on the top starting from the back edge but not continuing the full width of top. . A heat shield has been added underneath to prevent further crack. All original factory mpolded colors through and through. Not repainted no touch up no over spray.
KNOBS: Knobs are in excellent condition original and securely attached. The large tuning dial has a blue center cap not missing. These center blue caps are almost always missing but not this one. The tuning dial works fine. Mounting shaft is not broken and reglued.
POWER CABLE: The original power cable and plug is securely attached no cracks, or splits.
LOGOS: Little Nipper logo is original not missing. These tend to pop off over the years. Nice to see this one is still intact.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is in excellent original condition.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Original factory labels. Readable with water stains and yellowed with age.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or carpet. Looks like used for short period then stored for long long time.
