Obsidian Black 1950 Crosley Model 10-136E AM Vacuum Tube Radio Quality Construction Sounds Great!

DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube radio manufactured by Crosley in the 1950 time frame. Crosley quality is nearly unsurpassed among radios made during this period. The engineering, finish, design, and quality construction makes these radios highly desired among collectors.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded black Bakelite cabinet. Original factory molded colors through and through. Not refinished no touch no over spray.  No cracks or major scratches. There is a rounded chip on the back bottom right corner. Gold metal trim rings are in excellent condition with oxidation and tarnish.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. Sound quality and reception sensitivity is excellent!

KNOBS: All original factory matching knobs; volume, tuning, no attach post cracks, and securely attached. Some tarnish on gold metal surfaces. The cast metal tuning pointer is original, slightly tarnished, securely attached. The circular ring is chipped off.

DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one. But can be added for an extra charge.

CLOCK: No clock

LOGOS: Crosley center logo insignia is in excellent condition and securely attached.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec dog bone resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformer (IFT) has been rebuilt to ensure static free performance. There is no loud or pervasive hum. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. 

POWER CORD: Brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. 

BACKING BOARD: Factory original backing board is in excellent condition with no cracks no rips and securely attached.

FACTORY LABELS: Bottom factory label is in excellent condition.

PROVENANCE: Was gently used, lovingly displayed, or stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or thick carpet. Has been in our reserve inventories for a long time.
