Marble Swirly Brown Bakelite Vintage 1941 Philco Model PT-30 AM Radio Excellent Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Very proportioned design and excellent condition. Tabletop tube radio manufactured by Philco in the 1940-41 timeframe still in excellent cosmetic and working condition. Dial lights up brightly. The original knobs are matching brown plastic securely attached. No cracks, chips, splits, abrasions, or missing material anywhere on the cabinet! This vintage radio is in the original factory color marbled brown Bakelite. All original knobs, dial pointer, etc are present, working, not missing. Brand new replacement grill cloth is securely attached. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without external antenna attachment. Music sounds a little distorted at highest volumes because the radio is louder than most. Music sounds fine at lower volumes or normal volumes for most other radios. News and sports sound great at any volume. Excellent art deco design! This radio is over 65 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. Clear dial window is replaced with new acrylic. The tuning and volume dials work fine. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. The original bottom label is mostly missing. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The replacement power cord and polarized safety plug is in perfect working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. Backing board is missing. 9 out of 10 of these old Philco have missing backing boards. A clear acrylic panel has been installed for protection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
