Magnificent Brown Bakelite 1946 RCA Victor Model 65X1 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Near Mint Condition Loud and Clear!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1946 in near mint physical condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Brown Bakelite cabinet is beautiful mirror glossy no scuffs no swirly no micro scratches. Original factory molded color no repaints no over spray and no touch ups. None needed. Knobs are original and securely attached. This vintage radio plays great with or without an external antenna attachment. This radio is over 65 years old! All the dial numbers are crisp and clear. Volume on/off switch works. The tuning dial is clear glass. No missing ink, smudges, no flaking, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. No slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Bottom factory label is not missing. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The original power cord and is in very good working condition with no brittleness or exposed wiring. Original wood grain color backing board with RCA sticker is a rare find. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
