Casablanca Ivory 1949 Emerson Model 587 AM Vacuum Tube Radio Great Sounding Fine Looking!
DESCRIPTION: Cute and compact. Ivory vintage AM tabletop tube radio manufactured by Emerson in the 1949 time frame still in excellent working and physical condition. No cracks, chips, splits, abrasions anywhere on the cabinet! No repairs or repaints of any kind. None needed. All original knobs, dial pointer, etc are present and working. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. Original factory molded ivory. Not repainted no over spray no touch up. None needed. Solid construction. The volume and tuning knobs are original plastic and are securely attached. This radio is over 60 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is clear. No missing numbering. The tuning and volume dials work fine. Tuning knob is securely attached. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. Front center Tucker-esque Emerson emblem is original not missing securely attached not dented or scraped. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The original power cord and plug is in good working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring. Original backing board is securely attached no cracks crisp square corners and edges. Bottom factory labels are intact. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
