DESCRIPTION: Rare find from a rare manufacturer in a eye-popping color! AM/FM makes it functional for listening too! This seafoam is the most rich and vibrant of seafoam greens I've come across! Manufactured in Japan by Sansei and branded and sold as Olympic located in Long Island City at the time. AM/FM Tabletop tube radio manufactured by Olympic (Sansei) in the late-fifties early sixties timeframe still in excellent+ working condition. This radio has a very good audio sound quality. Very loud and clear no humming or buzzing. No cracks, splits, abrasions, or missing material anywhere on the cabinet! There is a 1" patch of slight heat discoloration in the top back edge. Very faint. There is a small chip on the front lower right corner. All original molded factory plastic color no repaints or repairs. All knobs, dial pointer, etc are present, working, not missing. Picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without external antenna attachment. Excellent mid century design! Original seafoam green is mirror-like glossy condition. The knobs are original matching clear plastic securely attached. This radio is over 50 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. No missing numbering, dots or dashes, or anything. There is a paint chip on the front grill behind the tuning fascia on the left side of the dial. No smudges or yellowing. The back panel is in excellent condition. The tuning and volume dials work fine. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. The dial light red indicator lights up brightly. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The original power cord and plug is in good working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. When this radio was new, Harry S Truman was president! This thing belongs in a museum!
