Golden Age of Radio 1939-1940 Emerson Model 315 Wood Radio Ingraham Handcrafted Cabinet! Sounds Wonderful!

DESCRIPTION: Exceptional design wood radio. Wood cabinet was hand crafted by Ingraham of Bristol CT. The bowed wood contours show craftsmanship and attention to detail you won't find on radios today. This design concept is very audio looking but has simple curvaceous elegance too without seeming clunky. Nifty handle makes this little woody a ghetto blaster for the nonagenarian crowd! Rare and resplendent with golden age of radio deco flair! Refinished piano deep mirror glossy finish. Beautiful AM tabletop tube clock radio manufactured by Emerson in the 1939-1940 time frame in excellent+ working condition. This radio has a very golden age of radio look. No cracks, splits, abrasions anywhere on the cabinet!  Logo is a replacement to match the original lost. The wood case was carefully and painstakingly refinished with 6-8 layers of clear coat then machine and hand polished to mirror shine and smoothness. There are tiny nail holes from the cabinets original construction on top sides. Edges were re-painted and the top was completely refurbished with the original piece and re-adhered to the case.  All original knobs, dial pointer, etc are present, working, not missing. Tuning dial clear window is original and shows the yellowish tinge of time. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. The volume and tuning knobs are original matching plastic securely attached. This radio is over 75 years old! Dial light lights up brightly. All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. No missing numbering, dots or dashes, or anything. No tuning dial face peeling. No smudges or yellowing. Built in handle on top is functional and practical. The tuning and volume dials work fine. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. Backing board is missing. Little Ingraham metal logo is affixed to the bottom of the cabinet. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The replacement power cord and plug is in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
