Post War 1947 Radiola Model 61-8 Bakelite AM Tube Radio Works Great Excellent Near Mint Condition!
DESCRIPTION: These early Bakelite Radiolas are hard to find in any condition, let alone in excellent condition like this one. The design screams industrial age design with its sleek horizontal grill vanes. Tabletop tube radio manufactured by Radiola in the forties time frame still in excellent+ working and physical condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without external antenna attachment. This is one of the better radios for listening purposes! Cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, abrasions, major scratches or missing pieces. Original factory molded brown marbled color with even highlights and swirl. Glossy and mirror shiny. The original knobs are original brown plastic. The front grill is in pristine condition looking clean and intact! The dial face is in very good condition. The dial clear bezel are original no cracks not yellowed with age, no dents or dings! This radio is over 75 years old! Dial light looks great and lights up brightly. All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and no flaking. The tuning dial works fine. The backing board is in great shape. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The power cord and polarized plug is a brand new replacement with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. No missing factory labels. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
