DESCRIPTION: Extremely rare color combo from a rare manufacturer. Next to purple (not maroon), true yellow not yellowed or yellowish ivory is the rarest of colors for radios of this period. This radio is almost pristine condition with no cracks, chips, or major scratches anywhere on the cabinet. The yellow looks like a ripe mango and evenly colored top to bottom with no discoloration. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Travler in 1961 in excellent working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Back part of cabinet is original shiny ivory plastic. This radio is over 55 years old! No dial light. Not designed with one. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial, clock or logo lettering. No repaints or repairs of any kind. None needed. The tuning dial works fine with no slippage. The little clock and alarm knobs are original intact securely attached and yellowed to match the yellow front! How nice! Clock works and keeps accurate time. The clock motor is quiet no buzzing, humming, or grinding. Alarm works. Clock and alarm set functions work. Sleep timer works. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. When this radio was new, tailfins were all the rage!
