Fiesta Red 1954 Emerson Model 729B AM Vacuum Tube Radio Rare Model! Highly Sought After Color and Model! Sounds Tremendous!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Emerson in 1954 time frame in excellent working condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations very clearly and very loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded red urea plastic. Urea plastic is a hard quality plastic that predates polycarbonate and styrene based plastics commonly found today. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No touch up. No over spray. There is a repaired and underneath reinforced heat crack on top by the back edge that continues the front. There no chips, or major scratches or missing pieces. The front checkboard fascia is in excellent condition with cracks, chips, paint loss, no water stains, no oxidation or discoloration.
KNOBS: Factory orginal plastic tuning and and volume knobs. The tuning knob is orginal factory silver painted not repainted silver. The volume ON/OFF knob is factory original cracked and repaired. No missing gold metal inserts or caps.
LOGO: No missing logos or rubed of manufacturer decals.
DIAL LIGHT: Dial light is new LED replacement that lights with brightly long life.
CLOCK: No clock
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformer (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static free performance. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Not brittle or stiff.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is in excellent condition and securely mounted.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Bottom labels are not missing0 a little worn and and stained but readable.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.
