Espresso Brown Bakelite 1948 Trav-Ler Model 5066 AM Vacuum Tube Radio Cute As A Button!
DESCRIPTION: This antique radio was manufactured by Trav-Ler in the 1948 time frame. Tabletop vacuum tube AM retro radio in excellent working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. The cabinet is original shiny factory molded brown Bakelite. No repaints no overspray no touch up. None needed. There is a hairline crack on the bottom that has been repaired. This retro radio is 60 years old! No missing ink. There are no smudges or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. Dial light works and lights up brightly. Not designed with one. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Original backing board is in excellent condition and securely attached. Thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
