DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Emerson in 1954 time frame in excellent working and excellent physical condition. One of the best looking radio designs of the era in the most desirable original factory molded color.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations very clearly and very loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. 

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded red urea plastic. Not repainted. No touch up. No over spray. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Heat shield has been installed underside to reduce possibility of heat cracking in the future. The tuning front fascia is in excellent condition with no rust or discoloration. Front tuning surround metal foil is in excellent condition with no separation, rust, oxidation. Clear factory print and numbers.

KNOBS:  Matching gold plastic tuning and and volume on/off knobs. Original gold tuning pointer is in excellent condition with no cracks or broken attach post. The tuning numbers are clear and readable no rub off. Little red tuning indicator is in excellent condition and securely attached.

LOGO: No missing Emerson logo. 

DIAL LIGHT: Power indicator ON OFF light is working and lights up when radio is turned on.

CLOCK: No clock

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.

BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is in excellent condition and securely mounted. No faded or missing factory printing. Often this backing board is missing.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels.
