Dreamy Cream 1949 Madison Model 940AU Tube Radio in Excellent Condition Works Great!
DESCRIPTION: Antique AM Tabletop tube clock radio by Madison in the 1949-50 time frame in excellent+ working and great physical condition. No heat cracks, chips or major scratches anywhere on the cabinet. No repairs or repaints of any kind. All knobs, dial pointer, etc are present, working, not missing. Two of the little clock knobs are original. The On Off Auto is a replacement. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without external antenna attachment. All original factory glossy cream color in near mint condition! Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock is quiet. Alarm works, Alarm set works. Clock set works. Sleep function works. This radio is over 60 years old! All the gold dial numbering and lettering is intact no rub off. No missing numbering, dots or dashes, or anything. The tuning and volume dials work fine securely attached. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The original power cord and plug is in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. The backing board is original in good condition. All factory labels intact. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
