DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Stewart Warner in the 1948 time frame in excellent plus physical and working condition. Very streamlined deco indusrial period looking shape and lines.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original glossy brown Bakelite. Not refinished no touch up no over spray. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Clear original tuning glass window is not cracked, no chips, nor yellowed with age. A few light scratches on the front bottom lower edge. A few small fleabite scratches on the front grill center.

WORKING CONDITION: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna..

LOGO: No missing logos. Original factory Philco front decal is in excellent condition.

KNOBS: Original matching knobs

LETTERING: Not missing, smudged, or faded dial numbering.  Some tuning dial graphics is flaking which is common among Philcos. The tuning dial works fine. No slipping or stuck or sticky spots.

SOUND QUALITY: There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Unusually, circuit uses low voltage tubes so it tkaes very little time to warm up. Uses ferrite core plunger tuning versus typical intermeshing plates for tuning.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All out of tolerance paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.

BACKING BOARD: No factory backing board.

POWER CORD: The brand new power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.

FACTORY LABEL: Bottom factory labelk is about 90% there.
