Cool Mint Green Retro Vintage Mid Century Jetsons 1950's Truetone AM Tube Radio Fab 50s Glory!
DESCRIPTION: This is rare and collectible radio design from one of my personal favorite manufacturers. Has a retro hipster vibe to it. Just the right amount of kitsch to make a statement. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Truetone in 1950's excellent working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is original molded cool mint green color plastic not repainted. All original factory molded colors. The front white grill is in very good clean condition. The condition of the cabinet on this vintage radio is excellent. The green back looks glossy and clean. Knobs are original and nicely yellowed to a deep brown color. This radio is almost 60 years old! No missing ink, or smudges. Although there is some rub-off on the red logo. The tuning dial works fine. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment
