Chocolate Brown Mid Century 1956 Motorola Model 56CD Vacuum Tube AM Clock Radio Sounds Great! Mint Condition!

DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Motorola in 1956 mint physical and working condition. No heat cracks, other cracks, chips, or scratches. Original factory molded brown urea plastic. Not repainted no touch up no overspray. None needed. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. The radio gold metal plate is in mint condition with no oxidation no rub-off. The clock face is in excellent condition no oxidation no rub off. Amazingly, no eyelash cracks by any of the three little clock knobs either. First one without these in a long time! Almost all these 56CD and 57CC models seem to have those little downward eyelash cracks by the clock knobs. Not sure why. This radio is over 60 years old!  The knobs are in excellent condition. Clear tuning knob skirt is 100% clear no haziness which is common. The clock bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing not cracked. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. The alarm works and goes off at the correct set time. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. There is a appliance timer function in back. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners and clear legible printing. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. No missing factory labels. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
