Cadillac Brown Swirl 1955 Truetone Model D-2586 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Unique and Rare Rockabilly LookingDesign! Sounds Great!

DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Truetone in 1955 in excellent working and physical condition. Very rare model. Has rustic rock-a-billy aesthetic in my opinion that succeeds through plain simplicity.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. No external antenna needed.

CABINET CONDITION: This radio is molded brown plastic swirly from the factory. It is not repainted no touch up no overspray. Original gold mesh screen is slightly wavy but not ripped or punctured or seperated at edges. There is a hairline crack on the right edge. The iconic v shaped emblem and crown logo is in excellent condition no cracks, chips, and securely attached.

KNOBS: Factory original gold plastic volume and tuning knob.

DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS:  All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. This is a 6 tube circuit design so reception quality is superior. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.

FACTORY LABELS: Bottom factory label is intact.
