Burgundy Blaster 1955 Zenith Model Y513 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Sounds Great Excellent Condition! 

DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Zenith in 1955 in excellent working and physical condition. 

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Has working tone adjustment.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original molded factory burgundy red plastic. Not repainted. No over spray. Not touch up. No chips or major scratches or missing pieces. Hairline crack on top beginning on back top edge has been repaired and reinforced from underneath. Beautiful fit for purpose looking design with large oval speaker grill. No question what this thing was designed to do! No cosmetic repairs or repaints performed or needed. Cabinet is glossy gray color with white grill. Grill gold metal surround trim has some oxidation. Original factory handle is in excellent working condition.

KNOBS: Original knobs are burgundy plastic and securely attached. Gold metal inserts are intact not missing.

LOGO: Zenith crown center crest is original, tarnished with age. No missing or bent crown peaks. 

DIAL LIGHT: No tuning or clock light. This one did not come with one. But can be added for an extra charge.

CLOCK: no clock

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.

BACKING BOARD: The original backing board is still present which is incredible because it's only held on by 4 sheet metal screws. This backing board is in excellent condition. 

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Bottom factory label is partially missing.
