DESCRIPTION: AM and FM vacuum tube radio with hardwood cabinet. Wood cabinets and vacuum tube circuitry with AM and FM are a rarity. Picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need for external wire antenna. Original cabinet of this radio is in excellent condition. The wood cabinet is intact no cracks, no chips, no major scratches or discoloration no cigarette burns. The original front grill fabric and plastic surround trim are excellent condition no cracks, no tears no stains no discoloration. Some rub off chrome paint on edges of trim. Some scratches on aluminum front fascia. The volume and tuning knobs are original matching plastic securely attached with minor paint loss. AM FM AVC slider selector switch works. All knobs are intact not broken and securely attached. This radio is over 60 years old! Tuning window dial markings are not faded. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. No dial light. Not designed with one. Original factory backing board is not missing. All original backing board screws. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
