DESCRIPTION: Near mint condition. Very attractive dimensions, proportions and overall controls placement. The clear clock face is slightly convex and covers half the front. Tabletop tube AM clock alarm radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1956 excellent+ working and near mint physical condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. Cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, splits, or seams, abrasions, major scratches or missing pieces. Clear understated original molded in white color. No repaint no touch up no over spray. The clock is accurate and quiet with no pervasive hum or buzzing. No ticking noises. Alarm and clock work. Alarm and clock set knob in back is working. The original On/Off/Auto front knob is securely attached. The front bezel is clear plastic no cracks no scratches no haziness. This radio is over 50 years old! All the dial numbers are crisp and clear no rust no pitting no flaking. The clock arms are patently mid century looking. Look how nice the clock face looks! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on raised dial lettering. The tuning dial is original no tarnish on the gold disc insets. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The volume knob works no tarnish on the gold insert. The brand new replacement power cable and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition. No exposed wiring. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The original factory backing board is in mint condition. Look at the clear factory printing! Bottom factory labels are in excellent condition. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
