DESCRIPTION: This tabletop vacuum tube AM radio was manufactured by General Electric in 1959 in excellent working an physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory shiny molded pink plastic through and through. Not repainted no touch up not over sprayed. No chips, or major scratches. There is a repaired hairline crack on the bottom under the sticker, and a repaired hairline crack on the right side.
KNOBS: Original white knobs are matching and securely attached. No missing gold metal knob inserts. The tuning dial works fine: no slipping no sticky spots. No broken internal attachment posts.
LOGO: No missing logos. Front controls panel is in excellent condition.
DIAL LIGHT: None.
CLOCK: None.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: Original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original backing board is in excellent condition.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels. Back factory label is readable.
