Apple Green 1956 Arvin Model 2563 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Excellent Condition & Sounds Great!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Arvin in the 1956 time frame in excellent physical and working condition. Very rare model in a highly desirable color combo.
SOUND QUALITY: This radio picks up AM stations real clearly and very loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded apple green color plastic. All original factory molded colors through and through. No repaints no touch-ups no over sprays. No chips or major scratches or missing pieces. There is a hairline crack on the right side top edge and bottom left which have both been repaired. Front green grill is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or major scratches..
KNOBS: Factory original green volume and tuning knobs. No cracked posts. No missing gold metal inserts did not come with them.
LOGO: No missing logos. Arvin logo is in excellent condition with no chipped letters.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with on but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: no clock
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Color matching back cover is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or major scratches.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing factory labels.
PROVENANCE: Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or carpet.
