Anthracite Gray Sears Silvertone Unknown Model AM/FM Vacuum Tube Radio Sounds Great!
DESCRIPTION: Vacuum tube alarm clock radio manufactured by Sears Silvertone in late fifties or early 1960s time frame in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded dark gray plastic. Original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No touch ups. No over spray. The controls panel and aluminum trim is in excellent original condition with no cracks, dents or dings, no oxidation or rust, very little rub off of lettering. Some tarnish at the bottom edge. Function lettering and numbering is not worn off.
KNOBS: Factory original matching tuning and and volume knobs are silver chrome in excellent condition with no paint flaking or rub off.
LOGO: Original Sears Silvertone logo is in excellent condition.
DIAL LIGHT: Dial ligh works and lights brightly.
CLOCK: No clock
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polartized plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: No backing board. Not deisgned with one.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: bottom labels are missing
