Always-On Clock Light - This particular radio has a clock light that stays on all the time if plugged in. You can also adjust brightness with back mounted dimmer switch or turn off the clock light completely. Modern LEDs have a long rated lifespan of 30,000 hrs (approximately 3.5 years). Almost all clock radios before LEDs did not have clocks that were lit all the time because incandescent filament bulbs of that time would burn out after a few months of being on all the time. Comes with 1 replacement 2W G8 cool white LED bulb.

Usually, these grill cloths are yellowed, have runs, or tears, or water stains or look a little skeevey. But, this one is clean, no runs, no tears, no water stains, not yellowed, no smells. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. No chips along the edges. Amazing. Original factory molded ivory color. No repaint. No over spray. No touch up. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by General Electric in the mid to late 60s in excellent physical and working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. This radio is over 50 years old! The "ON", "OFF", "RADIO" and "AUTO" lettering is not worn off! which is often the case Nice crisp lettering. The clock face is pristine! The tuning dial works fine. No rub off numbers. The tuning dial mount post is intact no breaks. Clock works and keeps accurate time. The clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm works. Buzzer is loud. Sleep timer works. Snooze button works. nice feature. Clock time and alarm set time work. All knobs are original and securely attached. The silver metal caps in the knobs are original and excellent condition. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. No missing factory labels. Back factory label is completely faded. Factory original backing board is in excellent condition and securely mounted. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
