Almond Beige 1961 General Electric Model T-230C AM FM Vintage Radio Mid Century Retro Beauty!
DESCRIPTION: Lovely little number in factory molded almond beige. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Original factory molded color. No repaint. No over spray. No touch up. Tabletop vacuum tube AM and FM radio manufactured by General Electric in 1961 time frame in excellent physical and working condition. Picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. AM seems louder than FM. FM antenna wire is attached and connects to the back. This radio is over 60 years old! Nice crisp lettering. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticking spots no scratching sounds. Tuning dial is viewed through a prismatic convex dial cover that creates an optical illusion. Very neat! No rub off numbers. All knobs are original and securely attached. The gold metal caps in the knobs are not missing and original. Tuning dial is excellent condition no slipping no sticky spots. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. Backing board is original and securely attached. No missing factory labels. Back factory label is mostly intact. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
