DESCRIPTION: Transitional design featuring 50s style colors but with 60s platform style profile. Looks like sixties console style entertainment units with its legs and overhanging platform top! This Silvertone clock radio is in excellent working and physical condition. Original factory molded turquoise color that has yellowed with age somewhat evenly to a sea green. No cracks no chips no major scratches. Surprising no chips considering all the sharp corners and edges! Not repainted, no over spray no touch up. None needed. Volume and tuning knobs are original and securely attached. This radio is one of the better ones for listening purposes. This radio is almost 55 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. No slipping. Volume works with smooth even attenuation. The large front clear cover is original securely attached with no cracks, no micro fractures. Front clock and tuning backing gold foil has some small dents and dings. back All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for a extra charge. Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no grinding no ticking noises. Clock time and alarm time set function works. Buzzer alarm works. Snooze button works. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. Original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, fraying, or brittleness. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. Factory original backing board is intact in excellent condition with crisp edges and clear read-able printing. Bottom label is intact. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
