DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Silvertone in 1957 in excellent working and physical condition. This clock radio represents the best of late fifties excess and flamboyant design. Top of the line design and functions. Harmony House was a Sears decorating brand that offered color palettes and decorating selections from 40s to 1968. Has top of the line calendar clock that works!
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Super loud and clear player!
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded pink plastic. Not repainted. No over spray. Not touched up. No cracks, chips or major scratches or missing pieces. Beautiful multi contour profile like a mid century modern ranch. Cabinet is smooth mirror glossy. Clock and tuning clear covers are in excellent condition no cracks no chips no major scratches and securely attached. Tuning and clock dial faces are factory original and excellent condition. No cracks, no chips, no major scratches, and securely attached.
KNOBS: Factory original translucent gold matching knobs securely attached in excellent condition no tarnishing no missing metal inserts. All three the little round clock buttons are original, matching and securely attached. No stripped internal post slots. No broken mount posts.
LOGO: Silvertone is in excellent condition with no chipped letters.
DIAL LIGHT: Tuning dial light works and lights brightly. Not designed with clock light. But can be added for an extra charge.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: The backing board is factory original. No ripped or fatigued corners.
CLOCK: Clock works, keeps accurate time with no humming no buzzing and no grinding noises. No ticking noises. Alarm works. Sleep function works. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. Clear clock cover is original no cracks, no chips, no discoloration or warping. The clock white panel back is in excellent condition with no rust, no oxidation trails, no water stains, and no rub off lettering. Calendar date and day function works.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom labels. All labels 100% intact. Yellowed and water stained.
