DESCRIPTION: Rare and beautiful teal Philco. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Philco in 1959 in excellent+ working condition. No chips, cracks, or major scratches. The cabinet is in excellent condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is original factory molded glossy turquosie color. No exterior repairs or repaints. None needed. This radio is over 60 years old! All the dial number is crisp and clear. The clock face is in excellent condition with no oxidation or rust stains. No missing knobs. Knobs are original and securely fastened. There is a hairline crack on the clock clear face. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The model label is not missing from the bottom. The tuning dial works fine. The clock works and keep accurate time for a mechanical analog design. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with high quality modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets.
