Fancy Veneer Art Deco 1941 RCA Victor Model 26X3 Vacuum Tube Radio Sounds Great Professorial Vibe!

DESCRIPTION: Nice solid wood tabletop tube radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1941 in excellent+ working and physical condition. Looks like something I would see in my old professor's office. Fancy highly figured grained veneers throughout. Has subtle seasoned wear look like a banister at an old library or church pew. Solid intact wood construction cabinet no cracks, no separated joints no peeling veneer. Original factory clear coat has consistent age checking and yellowing through like an old violin. Ask me it's equivalent to original patina for old gun collectors. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without external antenna attachment. Excellent construction and design! Center top cigar not cigarette looking burn is totally choice! Front grill slats have consistent wear and tear and finish loss adds to seasoned look. Original varnish is still glossy condition not sticky or gummy. No missing chunks or pieces. No separated joints or repairs. No cracks, chips, or discoloration. The knobs are brown Bakelite securely attached. This radio is over 70 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear no flaking. Dial light lights up brightly! The tuning and volume dials work fine. No slipping. The unit powers on and off with a definitive click. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring. Backing board is missing. Bottom factory labels are intact and readable. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
