Limerock Green Silvertone 1952 Model 2009 AM Vacuum Tube Radio Sears Roebuck Classic!
DESCRIPTION: Manufactured by Sears under their Silvertone brand, once a retailing powerhouse, now a shadow of its former self. Like Amazon but 70 years ago. This Silvertone is in excellent+ working and physical condition. Cabinet is factory molded in original dark green color. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Not repainted, no over spray no touch up. No repairs to cabinet. None needed. The original grill cloth is clean no rips no separation no smells. Missing Silvertone logo. Some minor fraying. Replacement volume and tuning knobs securely attached. Tuning window clear pane is in excellent condition with no cracks, no chips, no major scratches and no yellowing. This radio is one of the better ones for listening purposes. This radio is over 65 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. No missing labels. The bottom label is still there but in ok condition. The tuning dial works fine. No slipping and no sticky spots. Volume works. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Dial light works and lights up brightly. Clock keeps accurate time. No humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm, works. Clock and alarm set time functions work. Alarm buzzer works. No missing little clock knobs. Alarm clock set knob is a replacement. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. New power cord is in excellent condition with no breaks, splits or exposed wiring. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Hole in the backing board below the clock set knob. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
