Coral Red 1954 Stewart Warner Model 9187J Vacuum Tube AM Clock Radio Rare Color Quality Manufacturer!

DESCRIPTION: Stewart Warner was one of the higher quality manufacturers of the day. Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Stewart Warner in 1954 time frame in excellent+ working and physical condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Original factory coral red painted Bakelite. Not repainted. This color coral is redder than others I've seen which tend to look faded or milky or pastel pink-ish. Rare matching red clock face. No touch ups or over sprays. None needed. No cracks, chips, major scratches, repairs, or repaints. None needed. There are fleabites, minor dings throughout from normal wear and tear. This radio is over 65 years old!  The knobs are all in excellent condition and securely attached. The dial faces are all clear no cracks no hazing no yellowing no warping. No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added.  The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. The clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no grinding no ticking noises.  The alarm works. No buzzer alarm just radio. The clock and alarm set function work. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The original power cord and plug are very good working condition with minor fatigue cracks due to age. No exposed wiring. The cord will not break in two. If desired, buyer can request a brand new cord replacement for no additional charge. I chose to not replace the power cord because it still works and it's original. No missing bottom factory labels. Original backing board is in very good condition with no breaks no cracks and clear printing. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
