CORAL PINK Mid Century Vintage 1959 Arvin Model 2585 Tube Radio Almost Mint and Very Sweet!

DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Arvin in 1959-60 time frame in excellent+ working condition. Cabinet is original coral pink color, but if you ask me; looks almost cinnamon or pomegranate. This radio is more commonly found in turquoise which is also very very cool. But, this coral pink is definitely more rare. No crack on top by the built in back handle! Amazing. No other cracks, chips, or major scratches. However, the back looks like it was dragged behind a skateboard at some point but I buffed and polished most of it out. Original factory molded color. No repaints, repairs. None needed. This radio is over 55 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. Look at the original factory tweed no stains no runs no rips! Wow. The tuning dial works fine. Dial light works and lights brightly. This is a dual speaker radio so it not harsh on the ears at all. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The knobs are original and securely attached. The volume on off knob turns on with a definite click. Surprisingly, the knobs on this particular radio have not yellowed with moisture and oils from human touch. So, bonus! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The thicker power cable is securely attached and excellent condition. No fatigue by the interconnect. No exposed wiring. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. When this radio was new, tailfins were all the rage!
