DESCRIPTION: Here's radio shape that looks like a mid century mobile home or houseboat. This was one of GE's top of the line models in late 50s. Vintage tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by General Electric in 1957 time frame very good working and physical condition. Very cool late fifties step design in a baby powder blue color.  One of the more unique mid century designs! Original factory molded colors. No repaints. No over spray. None needed. Factory glossy and shiny. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.  Cabinet is in very good condition with no cracks or major scratches. One of the back panel tabs at the bottom is chipped off. This radio is over 60 years old!  The knobs are in excellent condition. The clock cover is clear no hazing no cracks! The clock face and tuning bezel is clear not yellowing. There are a few drip marks on the clock face. Original knobs show normal wear after 60 years. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping no sticky spots. The dial light illuminates from below and follows the motion of the tuning pointer from underneath! Whoa! All leaky paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. The clock set screw is not missing. The snooze button works. The alarm works and goes off at the right time. The clock and alarm set function work. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The original color matching power cord and plug are excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Bottom factory labels are missing. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
