DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio manufactured by Admiral in 1955 in excellent working condition. This was a very popular model back in the 50s. But, this color combination is exceptionally rare, I have never seen another one like it! And, it's is in near mint condition! Cabinet is original factory painted thunderstorm grey color. I'm pretty sure of this because there's no apparent overspray on the bottom decals. There are no scratches, scrapes, dings in the paint. There are a few small paint chips on the extreme corners. Could be a lot more wear over the years considering the sharp corners. This radio is over 60 years old! No dial light. Not designed with one. Clock works, keeps accurate time, and is quiet. The clock dial face is a rare color combination as well. Usually, the model comes with black and white dials face only. Alarm works. Sleep function works. Radio works well with good reception and low noise. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. The new replacement power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. When this radio was new, tailfins were all the rage!
