DESCRIPTION: Beautiful bright pink and white color combo. This rare color combo and even rarer slapstick clock light and snooze button that still works! Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Emerson in 1956 excellent+ working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. This radio blasts!
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is in excellent condition. No heat cracks on top. The front white grill piece is in excellent condition no crack or chips. No stains, rust, or discoloration of the black clock face. No cracks, chips, or major scratches on front clock clear cover.
KNOBS: The knobs are in excellent condition and securely attached. Gold metal insert is missing on the dial knob, present on the volume knob. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. Factory matching original two clock function knobs in excellent condition and securely attached.
LOGO: No missing logo. Front aluminum panel is in excellent condition with no dents or dings or rust or oxidation.
DIAL LIGHT: "Sleep Saver" clock light and Sleep/Snooze button works and lights brightly.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
CLOCK: The clock works quietly and keeps accurate time. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works and goes off at the correct set times. Buzzer alarm works. Wake to radio or radio with buzzer. Sleep timer works. Front clock face black back panel is clean no dents or dings, not warped, no water stains. Clock function matching knobs are original, clear gold plastic.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Bottom factory label is 100% intact. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
BACKING BOARD: No backing board. Not designed with one. Original factory molded color matching pink back cover.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.
