BLUETOOTH: This radio original vacuum tube circuitry is retained, repaired, and modified to play Bluetooth as well as AM radio. The internal circuit is not gutted. Repeat: the internal electronics have not been gutted and replaced with modern electronics. All modifications are reversible. In Bluetooth mode, plays Bluetooth wirelessly from any iPhone, iPad, Android, Huawei, Google phone, etc over 30 ft. Only through Retro Radio Farm, Bluetooth circuitry is completely internal and integrated with the original AM receiver inside the radio! No external plugs, cables, or peripheral devices! Switch from Bluetooth to AM and radio and back to Bluetooth with rocker switch installed on back panel. Pairs within seconds. No batteries to recharge! Sounds great! DESCRIPTION: This vintage radio manufactured by General Electric in 1951 time frame in excellent physical and working condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded ivory white color plastic. No chips or major scratches anywhere on the cabinet. Thereis a small hairline crack on the front left side of the tuning knob wheel opening. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted, no over spray, no touch up. None needed. Original gold color plastic clock surround trim is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or greening.
CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent. Clock and alarm set functions work. Sleep function works. Wake to radio or alarm works.
KNOBS: Factory original tuning and volume knobs are in excellent condition. Two original matching ivory clock function knobs are in excellent condition and securely attached.
LOGO: Factory gold painted raised lGeneral Electric logo is in excellent condition with minimal rub off.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static free performance in the future. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original backing board is in excellent condition with no breaks, cracks, or chips.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing factory labels.
