Blue on Blue Mid-Century 1963 Motorola Model C19B25 Vacuum Tube AM Clock Radio Rare Color Combo!

DESCRIPTION: Unique vaned offset grill design in blue on blue is reminiscent of 1962-63. Reminds me of the 1962 Virgil Exner designs from Chrysler. Like the (in)famous 1963 "warthog" Dodge Polara 500.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.

ABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is in very good condition with no chips or major scratches. There are several tight hairline cracks on top. Original factory color combination. The front medium blue is factory original painted color. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No repairs. No touch up. None needed. The rest of the radio was factory molded in original light blue color.

FACTORY LABELS: No missing bottom factory labels.

KNOBS: The volume and tuning knobs are in excellent condition. No missing clock knobs. Amazing. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping.

CLOCK: The clear dial face has no cracks. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering.  The clock works and keep accurate time. The clock is quiet no humming, buzzing, or ticking noises. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. There is an appliance timer function in back. Top snooze button works.

DIAL LIGHT: This particular model came with a factory original clock dial light that still works! Uses a gas neon bulb that glows orange and never needs replacing. This was a rare and expensive feature back in the day to address the issue of old filament type bulbs burning out after a few weeks of continuous use. Remember, LEDs weren't available back then!

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.

POWER CORD: The power cord and plug are excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.

DIMENSIONS: Approximately 13" x 5" x 7" (l x w x h)

COLOR: Medium slate blue grill with sky blue exterior
