DESCRIPTION: If you remember sitting in Grandma's kitchen and hearing her radio in the background, this is that radio. Grandma took care of her things too judging by the condition of this radio that is over 80 years old. The flowers on this wood cabinet antique radio are not painted on they are original Motorola factory decals. This was made in the 1940s not the 1840s! Not added on by some previous owner. Vintage wood tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Motorola in 1940 in excellent+ physical and working condition.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.

CABINET CONDITION: Wood cabinet is in excellent plus structural condition. Original factory mint pastel green paint is in excellent condition. Normally, this model suffers from paint loss on top due to heat, moisture, and age. No repainted. Top paint loss small area due to heat has been over sprayed with color matching mint green. The cloth grill is factory original with no rips, holes, or funny smells. Not water stained. Motorola label on front tuning glass is in excellent condition with little flaking or rub off. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. The clear tuning glass is securely attached no cracks or scratches. 

KNOBS: The factory original matching knobs are in excellent condition and securely attached. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping no sticky spots.

DIAL LIGHT: Tuning dial light works and lights brightly!

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. 

BACKING BOARD: Backing board is in near mint condition with crisp square corners and clear printing.

POWER CORD: Brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. 

COLOR: Factory painted green with factory flower decals
