DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Zenith in 1954 in excellent working and physical condition.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. This vintage radio plays great with or without an external antenna attachment. 

CABINET CONDITION: Original factory molded brown Bakelite cabinet in excellent condition with no chips, no major scratches. There is a repaired hairline crack on the right side. Not repainted, not over sprayed or touched up. Original front silver metal trim is in excellent condition with no major dents, or major scratches not peeling. Not heavily oxidized or rusted. Securely attached. Top handle is functional and excellent condition. Handle buckles are solid. The handle in excellent condition. Little silver metal trim pieces by the knobs are in excellent condition not peeling not warped.

KNOBS: All original factory matching knobs are in excellent condition. Volume on/off switch works. The tuning dial and pointer works, no slipping no sticky spots.

DIAL LIGHT: Red power indicator lights up when radio is turned on.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment. 

POWER CORD: The brand new replacement brown power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks or splits. No exposed wiring.

FACTORY LABELS: Intact and readable.

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, cooking grease, pets or carpet.
